2014 SYV Festival

The Garagiste Festival: Southern Exposure is a weekend of events dedicated to showcasing the wines of over 60 high-quality, limited-production, commercial winemakers who are making under 1500 cases per year from the Central Coast.

Our mission is to support the small guys and girls who don’t have big marketing budgets or the time to get out there and sell their wine. These wines can be very hard to find – many of these winemakers don’t even have tasting rooms. Find the next great winemakers early and impress your friends!

Each day will feature one of our renowned entertaining and educational seminars in the morning followed by an afternoon of wine tasting in the Main Hall. Seats to the seminars are limited. VIP guests will have full access to each days events, including the seminar, lunch and early access to the Grand Tasting.

Have questions? We’ll answer them. Just contact us at info@garagistefestival.com.

If you would like to volunteer, please email us at volunteers@garagistefestival.com with your availability on Saturday, Sunday or both days.

There is a fair amount of parking at the venue, however, if you are only coming to the Grand Tasting, the spaces will most likely already be full. We suggest parking in one of the many free lots around Solvang and walking to the venue, which are at most a mile away. The Memorial Hall is across the street from the Mission on the east end of Solvang.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

FRIDAY, MARCH 28TH

Kick-Off Pizza Pairing Party -6:30-9:00pm
At Cecco Ristorante

This ain’t Domino’s. With Chef David Cecchini calling the shots, an authentic Italian wood-fired pizza oven and seasonally inspired Italian cuisine featuring handmade pastas, cheese, antipasti; utilizing farmer’s market & artisan products – this would be a great night for the food alone.

But, as usual, we are going the extra mile. There will be 11 wineries pouring 30 samples of their favorite pizza pairing wines…and it’s only $39 + tax per person.
