GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I have to be 21?

Yes. Due to Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations, all guests must be over the age of 21. IDs will be checked upon arrival. Please have them handy.

I purchased multiple tickets but they all have my name on them. Can my other guests use the tickets?

Yes, the tickets are based off of unique bar codes not the name on the ticket. As long as they present a valid paper ticket they will be fine. If you forget your ticket, just tell the volunteers at the main check-in table your name. You ONLY need to bring your tickets and an ID (to prove you are over 21). We do NOT need to see your credit card at check-in for any event.

Can I bring my baby / toddler to any of your events?

No. Although adorable, due to Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations all attendees at every event must be over the age of 21.

Can I bring my dog?

No. Although also adorable, due to health code regulations dogs are not allowed. This applies to all animals. Only official service dogs will be allowed into the building.

Is there seating?

There will be limited seating at the event to be shared by all guests; it is reception-style so please wear comfortable shoes.

Is there a dress code?

No. We suggest comfortable clothes and shoes. The Festival is indoors with A/C (yay!) and will happen rain or shine.

Is there secure storage / coat check?

No. We are not accountable for your personal items. We suggest coming into the venue as light as possible. ID, tickets & credit card or cash, your phone and camera, but leave the big bags in your car or at home unless you want to carry them during the Festival.

What about water? Other beverages?

There will be complementary water on hand. NO OUTSIDE alcohol, food or other beverages will be allowed on the premises.

I have challenges getting around. Is this going to be a problem?

No. The Civic Auditorium is handicap accessible. The event will be all on one floor and there will be no issues getting around.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is prohibited inside the building and in the area directly around the doors.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Where is the event?

The Garagiste Festival Urban Exposure will be held at Glendale Civic Auditorium at 1401 North Verdugo Road, Glendale, CA. The venue is easily accessible from the 210 and 134 Highways.

What are the event hours? 

Times are as follows. No one will be allowed into the venue before the time of their purchased session.

  • VIP SEMINAR TICKET HOLDERS: Event begins at 11:30AM SHARPCheck-in will begin at 11:15am.
  • EARLY ACCESS / TRADE: Tasting begins at 1:00pm SHARP. Check-in will begin at 12:50. Doors open at 1:00pm.
  • GRAND TASTING TICKETS: Tasting begins at 2:00PM SHARP. Early arrivals will NOT be allowed into the venue until that time. We will make every effort to process the line quickly so you can get right to tasting.
  • Please have your ID and ticket ready.

What is included with my admission ticket?

Your ticket includes access to:

  • Unlimited wine sampling of over 200 wines from 50+ wineries.
  • Complimentary Cheese & Charcuterie spread during the Grand Tasting*.
  • A Stolzle souvenir crystal wine glass
  • Complimentary drinking water so you stay hydrated.

My friend/partner/spouse doesn’t drink? Are there designated driver / other discounted tickets available?

Yes. They are $10 per person. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@garagistefestival.com.

How much parking is available?

There is plenty of onsite parking directly next to the venue. Please follow signs and parking attendant instructions. The cost is $6 per vehicle.

We highly suggest that you take the Uber / Lyft. If you do drive please use the dump buckets provided and grab water whenever you can in order to enjoy the event responsibly. 

Is handicapped parking available?

Yes. Please consult the parking attendants on site.

Do I have to pay for anything once I enter the event?

Not if you don’t want to. We will be holding a Silent Auction filled with amazing wines and tasting experiences courtesy of our winery participants, so you may want to have a credit card/cash handy. There are some great wines to be had, plus you’ll get to take them home at the end of the event! All the proceeds will be going to the Wine and Viticulture Program at Cal Poly.

Is there food for purchase?

No. We will be providing complimentary Bread, Cheese & Charcuterie* for your snacking needs. There will also be other artisan vendors* on site, but nothing that constitutes a meal. Please consider eating lunch at one of the many area restaurants before your arrival.

*We make no promises/ guarantees that if/ any refreshments/ food and/ or beverages are free of any allergens, health restricting products. We will not be held responsible/ liable for if/ any illness that may occur while consuming at his/her own free will and at his/ her own discretion.
