SE Event FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I have to be 21?

Yes. Due to Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations, all guests must be over the age of 21 FOR EVERY EVENT. IDs will be checked upon arrival.

I purchased multiple tickets but they all have my name on them. Can my other guests use the tickets?

Yes, the tickets are based off of unique bar codes not the name on the ticket. As long as they present a valid paper ticket they will be fine. If you forget your ticket, just tell the volunteers at the main check-in table your name. You ONLY need to bring your tickets and an ID (to prove you are over 21). We do NOT need to see your credit card at check-in for any event.

Can I bring my baby / toddler to any of your events?

No. Although adorable, due to Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations all attendees at every event must be over the age of 21.

Can I bring my dog?

No. Although also adorable, due to health code regulations dogs are not allowed at any event. This applies to cats as well. Licensed service dogs are permitted.

What if it’s raining?

Hahaha…seriously all of our events are indoors, so they will be held rain or – pretty much guaranteed – shine.

Is there seating?

Of course. There are several seating areas throughout the event; however, our events are all reception-style so it is limited.

Is there a dress code?

No. All our events are very casual. We suggest comfortable clothes and shoes. The weather is unpredictable in February so it could be cold or warm. The Vets Hall is not air-conditioned, so please check the forecast and dress appropriately.

Is there secure storage / coat check?

No. We are not accountable for your personal items. We suggest coming into the venue as light as possible. ID, tickets & credit card or cash, your phone and camera, but leave the big bags / coats in your hotel or car unless you want to carry them during the events.

What about water? Other beverages?

There will be complementary water on hand, but you are welcome to bring your own bottle with you if you wish. NO OUTSIDE alcohol will be allowed on the premises.

I have challenges getting around. Is this going to be a problem?

No. There are ways to enter all of our events without having to use stairs. The main parking lot also has handicapped parking spaces available.

Is smoking allowed?

No. Smoking is prohibited inside all venues on all days, as well as anywhere outside on the property.

How much parking is available?

There is a parking lot attached to the venue, but it may be full for Grand Tasting attendees. If you are staying in one of the hotels nearby, we suggest you walk to alleviate any issues. There are also a number of free parking lots around Solvang (off of Mission Drive and Alisal Road), as well as unrestricted street parking around the venue.
